GLO Land Survey Field Notes This collection contains the original land survey field notes created by the Bureau of Land Management General Land Office in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Field notes are searchable by township and range numbers. Books are added regularly.
South Dakota Government Collections The South Dakota State Archives collects and preserves South Dakota’s historical state, county, and local government records. This collection consists mostly of finding aids for these government records, as well as selected documents, videos, and audio files.
John and Alice Pickler Collection The John and Alice Pickler Collection provides digital access to documents from different organizations the Picklers were involved with, including the Woman’s Christian Temperance Union and the Equal Suffrage Association.
South Dakota Manuscripts Collection The Manuscripts Collection is a compilation of digital images from original documents held in the collections of the South Dakota State Archives. The manuscript collections were created by private individuals and organizations.
South Dakota Map Collection The Map Collection allows digital access to maps held by the South Dakota State Historical Society-State Archives. This online collection exists because of the support of grants and private individuals.
South Dakota Historical Photos The South Dakota State Historical Society-State Archives has collected photographs since its founding in 1891. Through digitization we are able to present some of our images while still providing the care needed for their preservation. This online collection is made possible through grants as well as support from private individuals.
Pioneer Daughters The G.F.W.C. Pioneer Daughters Collection provides digital access to stories told by some of the women that settled in South Dakota during its early days.
Wi-lyohi The Wi-Iyohi (Once Each Moon) was a monthly bulletin published by the South Dakota State Historical Society from April 1947 to November 1970.
